Feel free to arrange a lesson and I will contact you and confirm.
I treat each student as an individual and base my lessons on what the student wants to learn, rather than use a set system, that may not work for all. Above all I believe music should be fun, the more fun you have, the more likely you'll be to pick up the guitar (or bass or ukuele) at any oppurtunity. I can travel to your home in some cases or you can visit me (Please contact me for more information).
I teach any age or ability (currently, the youngest is 6 and the oldest is in their 70s).
Lesson prices start at £10 for a 30 minute lesson, I usually suggest that younger students start with 30 minutes lessons and older students have an hour (of course this is all entirely up to you).
Learning the right material is as important as anything when you first pick up the guitar. My musical taste, while varied, does not dictate what my students will learn, of course there are fundimental parts that all students will learn (at some point), but I see very little benefit in teaching the wrong material to a student.
I try to be fair about payments for lessons, if you wish to pay weekly or buy them in chunks is up to you. My only rule is that if you cancel a lesson with less than 24 hours notice, you still pay. Teaching is my main income, as much as I enjoy my job I can not work for free. If I could I would.
Most of my lessons are a one on one basis, but I will teach small groups or a couple of students at a time. I prefer the attention I can give with one student at a time and feel more progress is made in that way.
I don't just teach ‘How to play the guitar’, my lessons also include, music theory, song writing analysis, thoughts on equipment and how to get the most out of what gear you have. Anything under the music umbrella and guitar in general.
